An 18th/19th century Greek tempera on wooden panel icon, depicting The Resurrection, Annunciation and Beheading of John the Baptist, indistinctly inscribed across the top, 27.75 x 19.75in.

Wear to the paint commensurate with age and rubbing over the years, a fine craquelure running through the paint most notably through the white ground at the top, traces of gilding showing around the edges and elsewhere, inscription towards the top left corner and right left corner now mostly rubbed away, rubbing around the edges, a drill hole at 12 o'clock in the moulded border, two reinforcement bars to the back.
