Estimate £200-250
Not original colour and has been polished at some point, handles are later, there are one or two minor areas of veneer missing mainly around the featherbanding but nothing too serious, there are some shrinkage cracks around the top veneered surface, the associated stand is probably made out of old timbers, the whole piece may have been put together in the early part of the 20th century. Generally average condition and a reasonable looking piece but not genuine 18th century chest on stand.
