An 18th century tortoiseshell and silver pique oval table snuff box, with lid decorated with townscape and base inscribed " Cornelius Deacon 1721", repaired, 4in.

There is a repair around the side of the box in the form of a tortoiseshell patch with visible rivits. There are three chips to the top rim of the base and there is a crack visible from both inside and out running from the rim to the base close to the patch. There are two chips to the base foot. The lid has a few minor surface scratches and there a few minor bumps/dings to the silver collar around the lid. There are four small bruised/damaged areas to the tortoiseshell around the circumference of the lid. There are numerous surface flaws and scratches to the tortoiseshell on the underside of the lid.
