An 18th century Maltese walnut bureau, boxwood strung and crossbanded fall opening to reveal a fitted interior above three long drawers, with shaped apron, on scroll legs, W.3ft 10in.

Top- Numerous hairline cracks to the veneer. Several pieces of the veneer missing from the banding around the edges. Similar story with the slant front.
All three drawer fronts with similar issues. There is a piece of veneer missing from the top of the 1st drawer, also the top right corner of thr third drawer. There is veneer missing from just below left arm slant support. Some banding missing from left of top drawer. Some banding missing from lower left side vertical support and a smaller piece from the lower right side vertical support. All three interior drawer bases are split. Both side panels have numerous hairline cracks to the veneer. Left side apron has two poor obvious veneer repairs. The back is showing signs of damp as the wood is rotting in parts mainly near the base and there is also some evidence of old worm..
Slant interior in similar condition to the rest of the piece.
To summerize in need of a fair amount of work and attention.
