An 18th century Indo-Portuguese ebony, tortoiseshell and bone inlaid table top chest, of two short and one long drawer, with twisted side handles, on squat bun feet, 14.5in.

Approximately 6 sections of the geometric tortoishell decoration missing from the top, minor losses to ebony veneer in places, mainly at drawer fronts. Minor shrinkage splits in places and along edges and borders as expected. Wear and fading in places mainly to drawer fronts and top. 1 drop handle is different from other 2 which are probably later replacements but have been there for some time. Minor veneer lifting in places, generally in reasonable, untouched condition.
