Estimate £500-800
Overall in honest condition, untouched for many years, the top has a very slight inward bow and is lightly faded down to a golden tone which is matched on the sides and to a lesser extent on the front, the legs being a little darker, one old join in the timbers running across the middle of the top, small old cracks and repairs elsewhere in the top and throughout but none noted that are of any severity, both drawers have what look to be original locks but the keys present do not work them, signs of old worm holes and wear to the legs commensurate with age.
Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. Interested bidders are strongly encouraged to request a condition report on any lots upon which they intend to bid, prior to placing a bid. All transactions are governed by Gorringes Conditions of Sale.
