An 1895 pattern infantry officer’s sword by Wilkinson, proof number 34431, blade 82cm, in it’s leather field service scabbard with hangers and sword knot, with supporting research confirming that it was purchased by the commanding officer of the second King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry; one of several for Lieutenant-Colonel Thomas J. Seppings. Condition - good, some age wear overall The sword was completed on 28 August 1896, sold with a three draw telescope also owned by Seppings.
