Pencil on white paper which shows slightly uneven cropping around the edges and may well have been removed at some point from a sketch book, one or two small dirt specks on the work along with slight discoloured patches at the corners where it may be tabbed down onto a brown card backing which has been finely inscribed in ink at the bottom with the title and initials AN Oct 1829, then later mounted with a white card border and simulated wood frame.
