After the antique. A pair of early 19th century Italian marble roundels, carved with the heads of Pittacus and Vespasianus, 5.5in., together with a similar rectangular plaque with later applied giltwood motif of Lucius Apuleius, 7.25 x 6.75in.

Pittacus - looks like the relief may well have come away from its backing at some point and then been re-attached leaving some glue stains around the edges, what looks to be a fine crack that may well be part of the marble running beneath his eye to below his beard, minor chipping around the edges.
Vespasianus - a little dirty, the nose has been broken away and replaced with some composite material
Lucius - a crack running from his lips to the back of the head, otherwise a little dirty and rubbed.
