Oil on canvas relined many years ago, canvas remains tight, paint rather dirty, a fine but stable craquelure running throughout, housed in an old gilt gesso frame with attribution to sitter and artist, various ink inscriptions on the stretcher, further confirming the details of sitter and artist.
