Condition:
Oil on canvas relined 40 - 50 year or so ago, canvas remains tight, paint rather dark with signs of old bitumous bubbling in the darker areas and some light surface scuffing, some fine craquelure evident but also signs of retouching particularly in the skin tones but also elsewhere, housed in a period giltwood and gesso frame which has numerous small losses, old handwritten label verso.
