Oil on canvas relined 30 - 40 years ago or more, canvas remains fairly tight showing stretcher marks across the middle and below a third, otherwise paint is rather dirty with some blooming in the varnish down the right hand side and scattered dirt marks and paint splashes throughout, housed in what looks to be the original carved giltwood frame which has rubbing and wear to the gilding along with chipping throughout, attribution to sitter inscribed on the base of the frame.
