Oil on wooden panel in slightly neglected condition, mahogany panel very slightly warped out of shape, paint thinly painted and rather dirty with some lifting of either the paint or varnish showing particularly down the right side of the Madonna, with one or two small paint flakes in addition. Possibly a hint of an inscription and date lower right, housed in a distressed gilt gesso frame, Sotheby's yellow chalk marks verso along with a bar code label.
