Achille Casoni (Italian, 19th century). A Carrara white marble carving of a seated boy with a begging dog, signed and dated Carrara 1865, height 31in.

Overall the marble is rather dirty with black specking and dust and other dirt marks throughout, index finger of the boy has been broken away revealing a metal pin, dog has a more notable russet coloured spot stain by its collar but otherwise looks to be in good condition, signed lower left beneath the pan pipes.
Very heavy - shipping would need to be by a specialist carrier.
