56 x 44in.
Estimate £1,500-2,000

Oil on canvas relined 20 - 30 years ago or more, canvas still tight, paint rather dusty and dirty, with signs of some old damage notably a 5 inch horizontal repaired tear 1 inch below 12 o'clock, slight loss of the canvas in the extreme top right corner and fine stretcher marks showing vertically through the middle of the bottom of the painting, signed lower right, in an old but probably not original gilt gesso frame which is now suffering from numerous small losses, overall a large decorative work that should clean to effect.
