Oil on original canvas, a number of small patches applied to the reverse, please see additional photographs online, which appear to be repairing pin hole damage which has been retouched fairly successfully with the exception of one in the sky directly above the building which has been re-coloured incorrectly, otherwise the paint looks very dry with a fine craquelure running throughout the sky which is just starting to lift but has not flaked as yet. Quality of the figures and deer at the bottom is poor, buildings on the left are rather blurry as if unfinished, signed and dated lower right, housed in probably the original moulded gilt frame which is bashed around the edges, title is ours and not inscribed upon the work.
