The dark patination is patchy and worn, the corners of the table have been chipped, the table itself has an open split in it from just underneath the chin piece going up towards the fret and there are series of other longer mostly closed splits also in the table, there is a second open split and there is a long crack in the back of the violin case probably about three quarters of the length of it. The violin case is later and very worn, the bow is unsigned and the nickel adjusting knob at the end is rather worn and dented.
