A very rare Worcester blue and white Floral Swag, Ribbon and Scroll pattern coffee can, c.1755, painted with wispy floral swags tied by ribbons at each end with a scroll between, with a diaper and floral band around the foot, of 'scratch cross' type with an incised line inside foot rim, 6.3cm high, two rim chips with short hairline cracks

At the time this book was published only four examples of this very rare design were known; one in the Dyson Perrins Museum lacking the lower border and a second in the Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery with a lower border close to no. 71 in the book. This example has a lower band matching the no. 70 border design in the book.
There is a 3mm x 4mm chip to the exterior of the rim with an associated short hairline crack measuring 9mm, there is a shallow glaze chip to the inside of the rim measuring 2mm x 2mm with an associated short hairline crack measuring 6mm. Typical minor glaze imperfections otherwise in good condition with no restoration.
