The tortoiseshell is very sun bleached on the exterior of box. There are parts missing to the lower edge of front of box and back edge. The base is also chipped in places. The lid/cover has been broken and re-glued. One large section of the sides of the lid is missing and another section by broken section parts of the tortoiseshell is missing by mother of pearl inlay cartouches. One section of mother of pearl cartouche is missing on lid.
