A small Chinese enamelled porcelain brushrest, Jiaqing mark and period (1796-1820), finely painted with a seated scholar and a boy in a fenced garden and floral sprays, the pierced key-work supports with underglaze blue scrolls, the underside with iron red four character mark surrounded by a turquoise glaze, 9cm x 4.5cm, small splinter chip

There is a small splinter chip to one corner, some occasional minor wear to the gilding, a little grubby in places, otherwise in good condition with no restoration, or cracks detected.
