A small Chinese blue and white jardiniere, 18th century, painted with lotus flowers and scrolling leaves in Ming style, key fret, ruyi and lappeted borders, D. 22.5cm

Provenance - The owner and her family lived in Singapore in the late 1950s. The collection includes antique Chinese porcelain, jade and furniture her father bought from shops in Orchard Road, Singapore around 1955-59.


The jardiniere has some wear and scuffing to the glaze around the top rim and to the interior of the jardiniere with some water residue and dirt in places, the exterior has occasional scratching to the glaze and some marking around the base, which may well remove. There is wear to the foot consistent with age and use, the orange brown ring to the base of the foot maybe in the firing or it could be residue from water, from decades of use. Otherwise in reasonable condition with no chips, cracks or restoration
