A small Chinese blue and white 'Antiques' jardiniere, Kangxi period, painted with scholar's objects to quatrefoil reserves, on a prunus and cracked ice ground, D. 22.5cm

Jardiniere has scratching and scuffing to the exterior and interior consistent with age and use, one of the exterior 'antiques' reserves has three small patches of brown discolouration to the glaze, on the interior there is a visible star crack to the one side near the base but this is not visible on the exterior, the unglazed base has a slight nick / small splinter chip to the edge of the foot where it is in contact with the surface which is not visible when viewed sideways on, otherwise in good condition with no restoration or significant chips detected.
