A set of twelve Victorian mahogany dining chairs with the label of Cowton & Sons Ltd, covered with distressed red leather, formerly in the dining room at Crewe House, Mayfair.

Although sound at heart these chairs require fairly extensive restoration, the frames all retain a good dark mahogany colour, but approximately half of them are wobbly where the backs join the seat rails and require some attention. Condition of upholstery varies with perhaps 3 or 4 of the chairs salvagable with leather restoration and the others requiring re-upholstering. Otherwise one chair is missing a castor, most of the chairs are bearing the Ivorine label for Cowton & Sons Ltd.
