A set of three Japanese bronze and ivory okimono of ‘Go’ players, Meiji period,

each kneeling at a table and playing 'Go', cast six character seal marks to bases, Provenance - Mr W G Pullen,

Condition:
One of the figures has a crack to the top of his head. Each of the bronze bases has some wear consistent with age and use, otherwise the lot appears to be in reasonable condition. Provenance - Mr W G Pullen (d.1994), former Deputy Chairman of Standard and Chartered Banking Group Ltd. and of the Asian section of the British National Export Council. His banking career spanned 1925 to 1974 in which he spent much time in Hong Kong and Malaysia.
