A set of four early George III silver candlesticks by William Cafe, with turned knopped stems and wrythened terminals, on square bases, London, 1765/6, 26cm, 83.5 oz.

Two are slightly wobbly on a flat surface and one has a large blob of silver solder on the interior of the foot?? One has a small surface split to the collar. Each stick has an indistinct mark on one of the steps on the base. Severe scarctches to the sdie of one of the base rims. Decroration a little tired in places. Marks on base clear, other marks quite rubbed. Numerous tiny nicks/scratches, commensurate with age and use. Sticks stand straight.
