A set of eight George III mahogany ladderback dining chairs, with pierced spars and stuff-over seats on moulded chamfered legs, H.3ft 2in.

These chairs come for sale from a local country house, condition is somewhat variable, colouring varies from rich dark mahogany to somewhat sunbleached gingerish tone with six of the eight leaning towards the latter, four of the eight have rather wobbly backs and will need some attention to the back seat rails, otherwise upper woodwork is in good condition, seats vary with six being in old now somewhat tired and faded petit point and gros point needlework and two having later upholstery. All have varying degrees of wear, dents and knocks to the legs, the majority of the underframes are a rich dark colour and not affected by sun bleaching, viewing is recommended.
