A second quarter of the 19th century French rosewood and ormolu mantel clock, Crucifix, Paris an Bd Sebastopol, the tête de poupé case with applied ormolu mounts, signed 3.5 inch Roman enamel dial with blued steel hands, the associated spring driven movement with anchor escapement, Brocot type suspension and outside countwheel strike on a bell, height 41cm width 26cm

Case: Re-finished, the gilding is bright.
It is a little untidy around the rear door lock. The rear door is a tight fit.

The dial has a number of vertical hairline cracks, the signature has been refreshed. The hands are good. The bezel is secured by a modern replacement screw. The winding holes do not align properly with the winding squares and there are some vacant holes on the dial plate which may indicate that the dial is a replacement.

The movemnt is a little dirty, but retain some polish. It functions. It may require a service. It hs not been tested and is not guaranteed.
