A sampler with spot motifs and central cartouche, embroidered with Ann Richardson, her work aged 14 years 1824. A very finely embroidered large spot sampler worked with motifs of stags, trees, planters of flowers with in an embroidered border and central cartouche, 32cm wide x 41cm high. Condition - the linen is discoloured and some colours faded, possibly from hanging over a fire place near sunlight there are four small area of moth holes. It would benefit from conservation cleaning as the stitching is so fine.
