A rare set of six Irish George III silver wine labels, by John Townsend?, hallmarked Dublin 1809 onwards (the only years George III head was in this shaped lozenge), the labels are embossed with Bacchanalian, Putti & Grape decoration and hand engraved with BAR SAC, FRONTIGNAN, CALCAVELLA, HERMITAGE, CLARET & HOCK, Width of each 60mm Total weight: 2.1oz/68grms

Good condition. Clear hallmarks, one set have been pierced. Maker probably John Townsend.
