A rare early 19th century Royal Mail Coach Guard’s timepiece, ‘No. 1’, by Wregg London, c.1810, contained within a brass-bound mahogany outer case with rebated handle to the top, the locking brass back plate engraved ‘52 hours WREGG Maker London No.1’, the circular 52 hour chain fusée movement with lever escapement signed ‘WREGG London and numbered 2028, fitted into a circular brass case; the white enamel dial signed WREGG LONDON with blued steel hands, outer case 9.2cm
