A rare William IV novelty silver castle top thermometer, by Joseph Wilmore, hallmarked Birmingham 1835, with a die cast panel of Abbotsbury House, the home of Sir Walter Scott, the thermometer is set between ornate panels on a plinth with an engraved border, Height 94mm Gross weight 1oz/33grms

The thermometer is held in place by four tiny clips at the back, two of which are missing. Thermometer is operational but not very accurate!!. Hallmarks clear.
