Literature -
A. Farini worked for De Morgan in Fulham 1890-91 and introduced him to sgraffito decoration. He also decorated wares for De Morgan which were then fired at the Cantagalli factory in Italy, where De Morgan spent several years and from where he also sent designs home to England to be executed.
cf. a plate with sgraffito decoration with the same maker's mark in Italian but dated 1890 in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, accession no. CIRC.338-1965.
