Estimate £300-500
Some chipping to two of the corners of the lid and a little wear to some of the banded gilding, main body of the casket in remarkably good order with no sign of any chipping but for the very slightest fritting to the bottom of the feet, gilt banding again all original but a little worn, painted panels slightly yellowed perhaps with discoloured varnish or nicotine staining but remaining hugely complete with just one or two tiny paint specks missing, overall remarkably good condition.
