Butterly, Horsham, the associated but contemporary walnut case with feather banding to the trunk door and box base, with brass and steel birdcage movement and anchor escapement, the signed 8in. brass dial with Roman numeral chapter ring, flowerhead and foliate scroll spandrels, single hand, 190cm high

John Butterly is recorded as having worked in Horsham from 1714 until his death in 1729.
