A pair of large German porcelain models of parrots, late 19th century, with glass inset eyes, each wearing a gilt collar and perched upon a tree stump with a sprig of cherries in one foot, pseudo crossed marks, H. 40.5 and 42cm

Both parrots have a small piece of the stalk of a cherry missing from each foot, typical minor firing imperfections and both have a spur to the underside of their wings where a support was removed after firing which is also visible on the sides of their bodies but over-enamelled in manufacture.
