A pair of early 19th century bronze and ormolu figural candelabra, width 30cm, height 42cm

A pair of early 19th century bronze and ormolu figural candelabra, each modelled as a cherub holding aloft scrolling branches, with pineapple cut glass sconces and spear shaped drops, on two tone marble socles, width 30cm, height 42cm
£600-800

Condition:
Overall both in good clean condition. One of the candle branches doesn’t quite have a long enough thread and becomes detached easily, this could be sorted fairly easily with a slightly longer metal thread between the candle branch and the fixing below the cherubs hand. One cherub very slightly leaning to the left with some verdigris staining running down his left side, the branches on both swivel and are slightly uneven in setting, sconces have brass liners that are slightly ill-matched, some a little taller than others and therefore do not quite fit the glass work, one of the bases has a chip to the front edge, both have very slight nicking to the red edges, overall fair to good condition but possibly to some extent made up, certainly the bases look slightly odd.
