A pair of diamond earrings, late 19th century, each claw-set with a cushion-shaped diamond weighing approximately 0.40 carats, mounted in gold applied with black enamel, to a later hook surmount, mounted in gold, length 2.7cm each, fittings stamped 18K, losses to enamel

Condition:
Significant losses to black enamel - enamel not particularly obvious in first place so visual impact minimal. Lovely pair of diamond earrings - stones are bright and lively, well-matched, approximately J/K colour as estimated in mount, one SI2/I1 clarity (black crystal). Overall in good condition. Stone sizes approx. 4.8mm by 4.2mm by 3.4mm and 5mm by 4.8mm by 3.2mm.
