Lot 134 , A pair of brass framed and barrelled flintlock boxlock pocket pistols, 8in. (11in with bayonet)
A pair of brass framed and barrelled flintlock boxlock pocket pistols, with spring bayonets, by Patrick, Liverpool, c.1820, 8in. (11in with bayonet)
Estimate £300-450
Light scratching and scuffing to both metal work and wood work of each pistol, oxidisation to the steel work, one pistol has a weak spring action just about pulling away when the trigger guard is retracted but certainly not springing round into place, does lock in position though and released, the other pistol with a little more nicking to the barrel, spring to bayonet is slightly stronger, locking action works as does release mechanism. Hammer actions on both pistols working, but one is a little stiff.
