A pair of Victorian gilt-brass lamps, possibly to a design by Edward Middleton Barry, circa 1870, of compound baluster form pierced with mannerist style strapwork scrolls,

Provenance. Probably commissioned by Hungerford Crewe, 3rd Baron Crewe (1812-1894) for Crewe Hall, Cheshire.

E.M.Barry R.A. (1830-1880) was the architect responsible for the exterior and interior design in the re-building of Crewe Hall, Cheshire after the fire of 1866.
