A pair of Sevres porcelain plates, c.1880, part of a specially commissioned service made for the French Embassy in London, each painted in enamel colours with hedgerow flowers, the three colour blue border richly gilt decorated with trailing flowers and the monogram RF [Republic Français], one plate with ‘ER’ decorator’s monogram for Emile-Bernard Rejoux (1832-1893), green printed marks S73 and S75 and red printed decor marks for 1880, 24.5cm diameter
