A pair of Meissen pot pourri vases and covers, late 19th century, each finely painted with figures in harbour scenes within scrollwork cartouches flanked by a pair of Bacchus masks, the square bases applied with laurel wreaths, of four leaf capped feet, underglaze blue crossed swords mark and incised model no.F28, height 32cm, some restoration

The first vase has a small area of restoration to one of the bows on the cover, both of the handles on the shoulder, to the base of the vase where it joins a pedestal and to two feet, there is also a later screw and bolt fixing visible underneath, the second vase cover has been completely restored as are both the handles at the shoulder and the pedestal column, otherwise in reasonable condition.
