A pair of Japanese bronze vases, Meiji period, each of slender baluster form, modelled in high relief with a bird amid irises tied with a ribbon at the neck, incised two character signature to the base, H. 33cm

Each of the birds cast in high relief on the outside of the vases has a slightly flattened tip to their beaks, the vase has occasional small nicks and dents to the edge of the foot otherwise in good condition with no restoration or damage detected.
