A pair of Paris porcelain bottle vases, c.1844, painted with birds in a landscape and a bouquet of flowers to the other side, with Persian inspired gilt scrollwork pierced handles and applied with flowers and decorated with 'jewelling', on a blue ground, inscribed to the bases Medaille d'Or Exp.1844 Nouvelle Decoration F.R. Brevete, 39cm

Both vases have losses to encrusted flowers and to 'jewelled' decoration, one vase has been broken at the neck and handles and well restored.
