A pair of Derby ice cream pails, liners, covers and stands, c.1810 each painted with pink rose sprays, applied with a pair of scallop shell handles, iron red marks, height 32cm

The first ice pail and cover has some slight wear to the gilding most noticably the leaf sprigs all over, there is a slight glaze loss / imperfection on the top of the shell on one of the handles and the stand has a burst bubble indentation on the underside near the edge made in manufacture, otherwise in good condition with no restoration, chips or cracks just occasional scratches and minor wear, the second pail liner cover and stand has some pale brown discolouration to some restoration at the top and the handle, again there is some wear to gilding in places such as the rims and gilt sprigs and the shell handles on the body, slight crazing to the glaze around the edge of the stand, otherwise in good condition with no visible chips or cracks.
