A pair of Chinese wucai 'dragon and phoenix' bowls, Qianlong seal marks, late 19th/early 20th century, each interior painted with an iron red dragon chasing a flaming pearl, the exteriors with iron and green dragons chasing flaming pearls with phoenixes between, the border with Buddhist emblems and fan shaped devices, 18cm, small rim chips

The first bowl has a 2mm x 3mm splinter chip to the edge and a tiny curved crack to the exterior edge. The second bowl has three shallow chips to the exterior of the rim which can be seen from the side and above and some other minor glaze imperfections otherwise in good condition with no cracks or restoration.
