A pair of Chinese famille rose jars and covers, late 19th century, each painted with panels of soldiers, the reverse with an Imperial court scene, on a turquoise ground decorated with lotus flowers and scrolling tendrils, H. 45.5cm

One cover has been broken and re-stuck with some splinter losses around the area visible underneath. One vase has a shallow splinter chip to the rim, otherwise in good condition with no cracks.
