A pair of Chinese famille rose covered wine warmers and covers, late 19th century, each painted with boys in landscapes, the cups with the figure of a demon, pseudo Jiaqing marks, height 9.3cm, covers repaired

From the collection of a Hong Kong Tea Merchant who worked for Jardine Matheson & Co Ltd, before 1940.

Both covers have been broken and reglued, one with a substantial chip loss to the edge, the other with some overpainted restoration on the exterior which is now discoloured slightly yellow, the bases and cups are in good condition.
