A pair of Chinese Empress Dowager Cixi grisaille decorated yellow ground saucer dishes, 'Da Ya Zhai' marks, painted with blackbirds amid blossoming branches on a yellow ground, the bases with Yong Qing Chang Chun (eternal blessings and youthfulness), diameter 14.5cm

Provenance: UK private collection; purchased from specialist dealers and auctions in the 1950s and 1960s.

Slight wear to the gilding on the rim, some slight black speckling to the yellow enamel ground on the back of the dishes, otherwise in good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.
