A pair of Cartier Art Deco French platinum, black onyx and diamond set tapering drop earrings, (converted),
set with round and eight cut diamonds, 43mm, gross weight 8.1 grams, housed in a Cartier gilt tooled leather upright case.

Condition:
1st earring is signed down one side. Largest onyx stone is cracked and loose in situ. Two other black onyx within the chevron decoration each have a chip. Platinum dog's head marks a little rubbed. Other earring- No Cartier signature. One of the black onyx within the chevron decoration is chipped at one end. Some very minor wear to the settings on both commensurate with age and some use. Box has numerous scuff marks, mainly around the edges and base. Cartier naming on interior silk very tired on one side, almost illegible on the other. We believe that the earrings have probably been converted from a bar brooch.
