A near set of four George II cast silver candlesticks, by John Cafe,
with waisted knopped stems, on shaped square bases, London, 1743, sconces unmarked, height 18.8cm & 19cm, gross 57.4oz.

Condition:
One pair of sticks has a slight more fluted knop below the top section. Both sconces are unmarked and there is a split to the neck rim of one of the sconces. One stem leans very slightly and needs straightening. A few tiny dits and dings mainly to the bases. Hallmarks fairly clear but with some rubbing. Regarding the 2nd pair, one sconce has an old repair (silver solder). Probable old small repair?? (silver solder) to the stem just below the top section. Numerous minor dits and dings around the base again. Hallmarks clear. One pair has scratch weights and engraved initials to the underside of the bases.
